Trailer Updates: 'The Dictator', 'Rock of Ages', 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation', 'Battleship' and 'Chronicle'

Some of these trailers came out today (Rock of Ages), others a while ago (Chronicle) but they are all appealing in one way or another. Whether it be flying ninjas, Tom Cruise craziness or found footage superpowers, it's all there. Hit the jump for the trailers.

Update: I added the trailer for The Dictator, just released (via Ropeofsilicon, indirectly).

Battleship (Trailer 2)

The first trailer was released quite a while ago, and now a new one is out which shows a little more. It plays sort of like a mix between Transformers, Skyline and Battle: LA. In other words, it looks pretty awesome, but is likely to be pretty crappy.

Rock of Ages

Finally, a musical I may actually enjoy. There's nothing like 80's Rock 'n Roll craziness, and Rock of Ages seems to have captured those awesome times perfectly. I am keen.

Chronicle

This is one of those "what if" movies. More specifically, "what if I had superpowers"? It's done in the found footage (Cloverfield) style, and looks like it has potential.

G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation

From the acclaimed director of Step Up 2, Step Up 3D and Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, comes the sequel to the most critically praised blockbuster of 2009, G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra. Seriously though, this looks like a lot of fun...

The Dictator

The latest from Sacha Baron Cohen (via Ropeofsilicon), in which a dictator risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. Ben Kingsley co-stars as "Chief of Security and Procurer of Women". Need I say more?
